Issue description
If your Z1/Z1 Pro Pool Robot is experiencing a flashing red light, please refer to this article for troubleshooting.
Scenario 1
For the first charging after a new device is put into water for the first time: What should I do if the red light flashes during charging?
Step 1. Clean the charging base
First, disconnect the charging. Use a dry, soft cloth to carefully wipe the surface of the magnetic charging base, removing water stains, dust, or foreign objects.
Then, re-attach the charger and try charging again.
Step 2. Button reset
If the light strip still shows red after the charger is attached, you can press the device mode button. In most cases, the normal charging state can be restored.
Step 3. Design explanation
The flashing red charging light is a system safety reminder function. It is designed to remind you to ensure that the magnetic charging base is dry and clean before each charging to avoid poor contact or abnormal charging caused by moisture or foreign objects.

Scenario 2
When the Dreame Z1/Z1 Pro is put into the water, the LED indicator on it flashes/shows/ blinks red light strip/bar. What should I do?
Step 1. Device blinks/flashes/shows red light strip when it goes into water first time, it is necessary to download Dreame app for bluetooth pairing and upgrade the robot to the latest version, after that, tasks without the app can be performed.
Step 2. There may be a problem with the sensor and drive motor, place the Dreame Z1/Dreame Z1 Pro on a flat, even surface and restart. Wait 30 seconds before submerge the Dreame Z1/Dreame Z1 Pro again and try again.
