Issue Description
This article explains how to update the robot’s firmware and what to do if the update fails.
How to Upgrade the Firmware
When a new firmware version is available, you will receive a prompt in the App. Simply tap “Update” to proceed.
Before updating, please ensure:
- The robot has completed all current tasks
- The battery level is above 20%
- The robot is placed in an area with a strong Wi-Fi signal
You can also enable automatic updates:
Go to Settings > Firmware Update and turn on “Auto-update Firmware”.
Once enabled, the robot will automatically update when a new version is available.
What to Do If the Firmware Update Fails
If the update fails, please try the following:
1. Check network environment
Ensure the robot is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
Move the robot to a location with stronger Wi-Fi signal if needed.
2. Check battery level and task status
- Make sure the battery level is above 20%
- Ensure no tasks are running before starting the update
3. Reconfigure Wi-Fi if needed
If the Wi-Fi network has changed:
- Go to Settings > Connections in the App to add a new network
If the robot still cannot connect to Wi-Fi:
- Delete the device from the App
- Re-add the robot and complete network setup again
