Matter Configuration

Before you Begin

  1. Download and install Dreamehome APP on APP Store or Google Play；
  2. Create an account and log in through the Dreamehome App.
  3. The robot vacuum has been successfully bound in the DreameHome App.
  4. Ensure that your phone, Matter hub, and robot vacuum are all connected to the same local network.(If you have an iPhone using iOS 18.5 or later, you can add Matter accessories to and control Matter accessories from the Home app without a Matter hub）
 

Add the Robot Vacuum to Matter on iOS

1. QR code binding

  • Step 1. Use iPhone ios 18.5 or above, the phone, machine and homepod are in the same local area network, and the network configuration is completed within 15 minutes of turning on the machine.
  • Step 2. After turning on the Vacuum, long press the power button and the recharge button to enter the network configuration mode, and use the Dreamehome APP to configure the network with the machine (if you encounter a situation where you cannot connect to the network, you can restore the factory settings first and re-configure the network)
  • Step 3. Open the Dreamehome APP and enter the device page. Click the device to enter the plug-in. Click the "..." setting in the upper right corner. Select the auxiliary function page--Matter. The page displays the network configuration QR code and PIN code.

  • Step 4. Open the home app
  • Step 5. Click the [+] button at the top of the home page, then click [Add or Scan Accessories].

  • Step 6. Scan the Matter QR code on the Dreame APP and wait for the robot to connect to the network.
  • Step 7. The network configuration is successful, and the name and status of the Vacuum are displayed on the device homepage.

2. PIN code binding

  • Step 1. Use iPhone ios 18.5 or above. The phone, machine and homepod are in the same local area network, and the machine is turned on within 15 minutes
  • Step 2. After the machine is turned on, long press the power button and the recharge button to enter the network configuration, and use the Dreamehome APP to configure the network with the machine.
  • Step 3. Open the Dreamehome APP and enter the device page. Click the device to enter the plug-in. Click the "..." setting in the upper right corner. The auxiliary function page--Matter. The page displays the network configuration QR code and PIN code.

  • Step 4. Click "Copy PIN Code" below.
  • Step 5. Open the home app
  • Step 6. Click [+] at the top of the home page, click [Add or scan accessories], click [More options], and click [Enter code]. There are two situations for ping code network configuration. You can choose one of them.
Case 1: If you can scan a nearby Vacuum device via Bluetooth, just click on the nearby device in the third picture below.

Case 2: If Bluetooth fails to scan the nearby robot vacuum cleaner, you can use the following method to connect to the network.

  • Paste the copied serial code from the Dreame APP into the input box and click [Continue].
  • Step 7. Configuration is successful, the device home page displays the name and status of the Vacuum.

Add the Robot Vacuum to Matter on Android

1. QR code binding

  • Step 1. Download SmartThings APP on Google Play or update SmartThings APP to latest version, the phone, machine and SmartThings hub are in the same local area network, and the network configuration is completed within 15 minutes of turning on the machine.
  • Step 2. After turning on the Vacuum, long press the power button and the recharge button to enter the network configuration mode, and use the Dreamehome APP to configure the network with the machine (if you encounter a situation where you cannot connect to the network, you can restore the factory settings first and re-configure the network)
  • Step 3. Open the Dreamehome APP and enter the device page. Click the device to enter the plug-in. Click the "..." setting in the upper right corner. Select the auxiliary function page--Matter. The page displays the network configuration QR code and PIN code.
  • Step 4. Open the SmartThings app；
  • Step 5. Click the [+] button at the top of the home page, then click [Add device].

  • Step 6. Scan the Matter QR code on the dreame APP and wait for the robot to connect to the network.
  • Step 7. The network configuration is successful, and the name and status of the Vacuum are displayed on the device homepage.

2. PIN code binding

  • Step 4. Click "Copy PIN Code" below.
  • Step 5. Open the SmartThings app.
  • Step 6. Click [+] at the top of the home page, click [Add device], click [More options], and click [Enter code].
  • Paste the copied serial code from the dreame APP into the input box and click [Continue].
  • Step 7. Configuration is successful, the device home page displays the name and status of the Vacuum.

 

Control the Robot Vacuum by Matter

Staus: The status display of the robotic vacuum cleaner supports the following states:
Stopped, Running, Paused, Error, SeekingCharger, Charging, Docked, NoError, UnableToStartOrResume, FailedToFindChargingDock, Stuck, DustBinMissing, WaterTankEmpty, WaterTankMissing, MopCleaningPadMissing
 
Strat/Pause: The basic controls for the robotic vacuum cleaner include Start and Pause.
 
Clean Mode: The cleaning mode selection of the robotic vacuum cleaner supports Vacuum, Mop, and Both.
 
Suction Power: Cleaning power level selection supports the following options:
  • Auto(Mode: Sweep & Mop Simultaneously, Suction: Standard, Mop: Standard, Route: Daily, Passes: x1)
  • Quick(Mode: Sweep & Mop Simultaneously, Suction: Standard, Mop: Standard, Route: Quick, Passes: x1)
  • Quiet(Mode: Sweeping Only, Suction: Quiet, Mop: Standard, Route: Daily, Passes: x1)
  • Low Power(Mode: Sweep & Mop Simultaneously, Suction: Quiet, Mop: Drier, Route: Quick, Passes: x1)
  • Deep Clean(Mode: Sweep then Mop, Suction: Standard, Mop: Standard, Route: Deep, Passes: x1)
     
Recharge：Command the robot vacuum to return to the docking station for charging.
 
 
Choose Area: Displays the rooms currently scheduled for cleaning.
 
Choose Map: If multiple maps have been created, you can switch between them using the available options.
 
Choose Room: Based on the rooms displayed, select one or multiple room names that require cleaning, and then start the cleaning process.
*Maps and rooms will only be displayed in the Dreamehome app after they have been created. The displayed content will match what was set up.
 
Siri: You can use the Siri voice assistant to control your robot vacuum. The supported voice commands are listed below：
START
  • "Siri, start cleaning"
  • "Siri, start vacuuming" 
AREA CLEANING 
  • "Siri, clean the "*kitchen" "
*Please ensure that the regional names in the vacuum's   map use the following naming conventions: room, kitchen, balcony, den, studio, livingroom, bedroom, bathroom, guestroom, gym, corridor, clockroom, diningroom, gameroom, boxroom； 
STOP 
  • "Siri, stop cleaning" 
  • "Siri, stop vacuuming"
PAUSE 
  • "Siri, pause cleaning" 
  • "Siri, pause vacuuming"
STATUS 
  • "Siri, tell me what is my vacuum doing" 
SEND BACK TO CHARGING STATION 
  • "Siri, send home"
*Siri supports generalized instructions, allowing users to try different natural phrasing to control the robot vacuum. For specific supported commands, please refer to: https://support.apple.com/en-us/105027

Status: The status display of the robotic vacuum cleaner supports the following states:
